Group Calls for “Good Neighbor” Nominees

The Neighborhood Resource Organization (NRO) unveiled a new effort to shine the spotlight on the good deeds and contributions of residents, employees, students, service workers and businesses of Erie County and believes good neighbors equal a strong community.

The Good Neighbor Award program identifies and honors individuals, organizations, neighborhoods and businesses in our community who are outstanding examples of good neighbors, who are committed to building, preserving, maintaining and improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods and our community. “Everyone has the potential to be a Good Neighbor, “ said Dave Deter, NRO Executive Director, “and the best way to have good neighbors is to be one.”

Nominations open and the deadline for submission is Friday September 30th.

Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:

  • Neighborhood Watch or Association
  • Most Improved Neighborhood Appearance
  • Individual
  • Youth (18 & Under)
  • Community Ally
  • Public Safety Ally
  • Corporate Partner
