City of Corry Citizens Police Academy

The City Corry Police Department is pleased to announce that it will be holding its 2nd Citizens Police Academy (for residents of Corry only) in January 2016.

The City of Corry Citizens Police Academy is a way to give citizens an inside look at the operation of the Corry Police Dept.  It also will give the officers the opportunity to connect with the citizens of Corry outside of the job.  The citizens will have the chance to meet all of the Police Officers who work at the police dept.  We will also be inviting guest speakers for the academy.

The Citizens Police Academy will run one night per week for 9 weeks.  The Academy will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 201 E. South St. Corry PA.  Classes will be held on Thursdays starting at 6:00PM.  There will be a graduation held during the last class starting at 6:00PM.  Those attending the Citizens Police Academy will receive a syllabus at the first class outlining the topics for each night.  Tentative dates for the Academy are Thursday January 21st 2016 and ending on Thursday March 17th, 2016.

Anyone interested in the Citizens Police Academy can call the Corry Police Dept. 814-664-2222, send an email to rshopene@corrypa.gov with a subject line of “Citizens Police Academy” or send a private message to the City of Corry Police Department’s face book page.  Applications will be available at the Police Station 20 East South St. Corry, PA  16407 or can be emailed to you.
