Community disorganization is a key risk factor in youth violence in Erie County. Your donation to Neighborhood Resource Organization allows us to provide ongoing education, support and technical assistance to Neighborhood Groups (ie. Neighborhood Watch Groups and Neighborhood Associations throughout Erie County), providing training, access to and assistance with funding opportunities, research and best practice guidance, providing information on services available to neighborhood residents, and connection to key community partners and other neighborhood groups. Stronger neighborhoods result in a stronger Erie County – you can help us make a difference!

Your Donation Breakdown

A $2,000 contribution would allow the NRO to purchase security cameras and a recording system for a neighborhood group to monitor areas that are prone to criminal activity and share this information with local law enforcement.

A $3,000 contribution by your club to the NRO would enable us to offer three $1,000 mini-grants to neighborhood groups.

A contribution of $4,500 would allow the NRO to purchase a year’s worth of office supplies.

Erie Gives is a one-day, annual event designed to shine the spotlight on Erie County nonprofits and give them a helpful boost in their ability to fundraise. Every participating nonprofit that receives a donation also receives a percentage of the $220,000 pro-rated match pool provided by GE Transportation, Erie Insurance, Presque Isle Downs and Casino, Eriez Magnetics, The Erie Community Foundation and an Anonymous Donor.

You can help continue and expand the work of the NRO by making a financial contribution to support NRO operations and the provision of direct assistance to neighborhood groups. All donations are tax deductible. A receipt for tax purposes will be mailed to you upon receipt of your gift.
